OUR TEAM
Owner and Founder, Dan Medeiros has created a stellar reputation in the industry through his 30 years of experience. Until 2006, Dan excelled in leadership roles within the industry in both Commercial and Residential Landscape Maintenance as well as Snow Removal.
Founded in 2006, Groundhog Earthmatters Inc employs a team of up to 12 full time, experienced staff members. Our team is large enough to meet the demands of our clients, but small enough for every member to have a vested interest in the satisfaction of our customers as well as the growth of the business. Our highly experienced, fully uniformed team will work hard to understand your property’s unique requirements.
With a dedicated, Full Time Office/Client Service Manager, clients can expect a superior level of service and communication.
Our Management is experienced in dealing with all types of clients from individual homeowners to Condominium Corporations and their Board of Directors.

Groundhog employs a crew of dedicated, honest and reliable staff all year round. Our staff is like family and is treated as such. Each member of our team is trained by Dan and is fully competent to look after all projects in a skillful manner and with integrity.
Dan Medeiros
Owner/Founder
Dan started out in the industry, at a very young age. His love for the outdoors, made it easy to endure the hard work. He found himself in a lead role at a reputable company in the industry for over 19 years, until he decided to venture out on his own.
Bringing with him a lifetime of experience, he founded Groundhog Earthmatters Inc.
Dan’s commitment to quality will always be his focus. He does not believe in cutting corners and customer satisfaction is his highest priority. Running a family business brings him great pride and his hopes are to one day pass it down to the next generation. Although, as a business owner, work is always on his mind, Dan does enjoy fishing on his off days and is a motorcycle enthusiast.

Susana Medeiros
Marketing/Business Development
Susana holds over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in various industries. With solid communication skills and her experience in customer service, she makes the transition for new clients simple and enjoyable. She is an active member in her community and is passionate about helping young families through networking and fundraising.
Angela MacMillan
Office/Business Manager
Angela will be the friendly voice our customers will be greeted with on the phone when they call our office. With over 25 years of sales, marketing and administration experience, Angela is an irreplaceable member of our team. Angela is a married mom of two young girls and is passionate about her family and fitness.

Danny Medeiros
The next generation…
Danny Jr has been a member of our team since he could push a lawn mower. These days, as a young adult, he is a strong link. As a result of his work ethic and willingness to learn, he has become an integral part of our Construction, Maintenance and Snow Removal Divisions. He is doing more than pushing a lawn mower these days. He is a graduate of Conestoga College’s Brick and Stone Mason Program. Danny hopes to further his education in the industry, while applying his studies in the field. Much like his father, Dan, he is a lover of the outdoors and anything on wheels. On his off days, you will find him shining up his Jeep, only to take it out for some fun in the mud.
